🔵 Darren Motsi: The New Zimbabwean Flame At Manchester City

Manchester City have officially secured the signature of Darren Motsi, a 16‑year‑old attacking midfielder of Zimbabwean heritage, from Leicester City. The young prodigy, already capped for England U16s, becomes the latest jewel in City’s ambitious youth project — and the newest Zimbabwean name to echo through the Etihad corridors.  


🌟 From Leicester’s Rising Star to City’s Project
At just 15, Motsi stunned the Premier League 2 stage, making 15 appearances for Leicester’s U21s and scoring in back‑to‑back matches — a record for his age. His left foot, vision, and creativity mark him as a versatile attacker, equally dangerous on the wing or in the number 10 role.  

Liverpool were once favourites to secure his signature, but City’s long‑term development pathway convinced Motsi to join their academy. He now joins fellow youth signings Jeremy Monga and Mishel Nduka, as City rebuild their ranks after losing talents like David Eze and Karim Cassim to rivals Manchester United.
